Clubs with rapid tournaments 4
About these entries
Rapid is where adult amateurs in Baku find a game most easily. Bəyaz Şahmat Klubu, spelled Beyaz in some listings, began a run of amateur rapid and blitz events at the Mida residential complex in Yasamal in August 2026, and Chessbattle mixes rapid and blitz with its rated events at the Heydər Əliyev Sports and Concert Complex on Abbas Səhhət.
The club now on Təbriz küçəsi in Nərimanov held rapid tournaments in January and September 2025, when it still played on Fətəli Xan Xoyski, the first with a membership fee printed in its listing. ŞAH&mat klubu on Şövkət Məmmədova plays rated rapid between its classical events. The academies run rapid series too, among them AK Chess Tempo and the Koala Tempo events in Sumqayıt; those are filed with the chess schools.
